The Cool Factor.

I have been trancing out of myself lately. I think ive been missing the life of a person my age where i should be waking up going to my kitchen with a fridgeful of orange juice and a broadsheet on the top of a breakfast nook while the 7am sunray seeps through the window pane above my sink.

Wow thats one serious Danielle Steel going on there. Creepy.

Anyway, i was just wondering if i could own my own house within the next 5 years. Ive grown tired of what i really do in my life right now. It was fun til it lasted. Until, i think, people got sick of my face.

Kung iisipin nyo, when we started being a teenager, it was always the Cool Factor we were trying to achieve. We had that stage where we actually try to build up ourselves as someone with uniqueness. A character that would actually have a sense of accomplishment. The not so geeky, but street smart. I didnt know that there will come a time, youll find yourself waking up with a thought, that you wanted a new environment. That the character you were once trying to build, was a big joke to the other cool kids. Coz they think theyre cooler. Petty stuff like that.

It wasnt actually a sense of maturity e. Maturity, for me, is a very big word to handle. I mean, its too self-proclaiming when a person claims he's matured. Coz whatever we do, we are always in between. Unless youre the oldest person living on this planet. Of course its given that there will always be younger immatured people. But there are younger people who acts more matured than others. Thats the way i think i could use that word aptly.

Thing is, mahirap kasing panindigan ang pagiging cool. It just gets so annoying when one person acts so cool, i think his brain froze up. It would be fun kung lahat kayo lutang. Kaso hindi lahat ng oras, pareho kayo ng wavelength.

Just one observation. Let's say this season of American Idol. David Cook might be a strong contender, of course i like Cook, pero Archuleta will rule. not on a biased point of view. Demographics pa lang, from parents, pre-pubescent girls and boys with identitiy crisis. It was like the same case of Bo Bice against Carrie Underwood. Weird kasi parang halos walang point of comparison, pero ngayon, its pop against rock.(edited: Why is it rock? is it because his voice is huskier? Then Kiko Matsing rocks too.) Forget Jason Castro, Id like Syesha more than him.

David Cook looks and sounds a lot cooler than David Archuleta. Thing is, the votes they are gathering is not within a certain age group. Hence, outnumbered.

So parang, ang "cool" group is always the next set lower than the majority.

I dont even think i am making sense with that example. It just so happened that i clicked a link on youtube and heard the previous episode.

Ive heard once or twice that im cool. But i also heard once or twice that im a loser. I also tell myself that. Pero i think im cooler than what others might think of me. How narcissistic. Its just that, im really tired of living a cool life. Because to what i feel, its not cool at all anymore.
