having a kid in her kindergarten was pretty exciting. seeing her all cute in her uniform, picking up her first lunchbox and seeing the excitement and her willingness to learn.
not until the school supplies rush. when i got the list from che to check how many writing notebooks and what materials she needed... i got the answer to one of my hundred thousand peso questions. why is it that some offsprings outsmart some parents?
for a kinder, they had 8 subjects including geography. GEOGRAPHY? so i thought... maybe they will just teach the directional stuff like where's north and blah but no... they will teach some regions in ASIA as well. geezus. asia? i dont even know where kyrygzstan is.
and of course i already had an idea what notebooks to buy. gabby loves the powerpuff girls so it figures. when i went to that part of national bookstore, everything's mixed up. spiral, composition, 50 leaves, 90 leaves, writing, hardbound and we had an hour left coz im gonna go to capones pa. it was so frustrating with all the manic mothers just throwing away stuff above the notebooks like cartolinas and crayons. so it took us 45 minutes to just get some cute animal cartoons instead and che will be manually taking off the extra 40 leaves coz we really cant see the 50-leaf notebooks. oh yeah lets not forget the mass production of PBB notebooks. pfft.
the lives of those sales clerks might be on hell right now. arranging a mountain of notebooks. when i asked one for a long plastic envelope... she said.. "sir sa school supplies" without even looking at me. due to my frustration and annoyance.. di nako nakapagpigil. "YA I GOT THAT! ALANGAN NAMANG SA BOOKS SECTION DI BA?" then she assisted me kung saan rack nakalagay yung mga plastic envelopes... which is by the way, another mess of a place.
and what the hell happened to the normal art paper? construction paper na ngayon? and the drawing book na hindi nila alam kung ano yun tapos pinipilit nilang ibigay sakin ang sketch pad.
and i just dropped by sa capones and saw celest, joan, jo, joyce, nina, lea, cecil, anna and mamu. i think 20 minutes lang ata ako run. sobrang wala ako sa mood magstay kasi ang mahal tsaka ansikip lol. di pako pwedeng uminom kasi magjjog pako ng 5am. (naks)
